98,000 San Franciscans say, Keep Fighting for Oakland Sports Fans
The slogan for the Good Neighbor Coalition’s Prop. I was, “A world-class city helps its neighbors; it does not help itself to its neighbor’s jewels.” And as the author of the ballot measure, I am humbled and have been energized by the amount of support the measure received with NO advertising dollars for the campaign. So, only a fool would give up fighting after gathering close to 98,000 votes of encouragement in trying to teach San Francisco elected officials what it means to be a good neighbor.
SF Weekly told the story as best as they could, without telling the real story I relayed. The San Francisco print media refused to publish what propelled me to take a stand. It was blatant San Francisco City Hall racism that caused me to act. But if you read the 500 word measure you will pick up the fact that this was all about respect for the Black community of Oakland, CA.
